Hey Schuyler friends! 👋
Our staff had so much fun with last year’s Step Challenge that we’re bringing it back — and this time, we’re inviting the whole community to join us! 💚
This fall, we’re Walking to Iowa in November and Walking Back to Schuyler in December! 🚶♀️🚶♂️
💥 Every 2,000 steps = 1 mile
💥 However far you get in November, that’s how far you’ll “walk back” home in December
💥 It’s not a competition — just a fun way to stay active and motivated through the holidays!
You can track your steps however you’d like — watch, phone, or pedometer — and see how far you make it across our super cute map of the route to Iowa. 🗺️
📅 The challenge starts Saturday, and sign-ups are open through Wednesday.
You can even back count your steps starting Saturday so you get the full month!

We love seeing their creativity shine in the kitchen! 💛

This week, our fall Youth Sports season came to an end. On Friday, our Youth Football players ran out with the varsity football team, along with Coach Wilcox and Coach Rocha. Last night, our Youth Volleyball players ran out of the tunnel made by the SCHS cheerleaders before the Varsity took the court against Madison.
Thank you to Coach Wilcox, Coach Rocha, Coach Placek and Coach Lopez on all your hard work and dedication in helping build the next group of Warrior athletes!
Esta semana, nuestra temporada de deportes juveniles de otoño llegó a su fin. El viernes, nuestros jugadores de fútbol juvenil salieron corriendo con el equipo universitario de fútbol, junto con los entrenadores Wilcox y Rocha. Anoche, nuestros jugadores de voleibol juvenil salieron corriendo del túnel construido por las animadoras de SCHS antes de que el equipo universitario entrara a la cancha contra Madison.

Congratulations to the Warriors on senior night! They came through with a 23-22 win over the Wayne Blue Devils! And congratulations to our six seniors!
Schuyler Community Schools has been working on a Competitive Equity Waiver for football for the last two months. In the application we highlighted that our participation average would more align with the class selected. Through the process with the Competitive Equity Waiver committee and the NSAA, SCHS applied to be placed in Class C-2 and be playoff eligible for the current football scheduling cycle, 2026 and 2027. On October 16, 2025 the NSAA Board of Directors met in Hastings and approved our waiver. We are excited that our student-athletes will have new opportunities to build success while honoring the integrity of competition.
