We have been closely monitoring the weather forecast, and while tomorrow is expected to be extremely cold—with wind chills possibly reaching 25 degrees below zero—school will remain in session.
Our general practice is to consider closing school when wind chills reach 30 degrees below zero or colder for an extended period of time. At this time, conditions are expected to remain above that threshold.
Please help ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the cold weather, including warm coats, hats, gloves, and other winter gear.

Tonight begins Youth Softball practices. Practices will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the SCS Field House, and will end at 7 p.m. Students can be dropped off at the main Field House entrance. After speaking with administration and youth coaches, the location of youth basketball practices has changed back to it's original location. Tonight's practice will be at the high school, starting at 5:45 p.m. Practice will go until 7:15 p.m., where you can pick up your student-athlete at the activities entrance.
The scheduled will be updated tomorrow with new dates and all practices will be at the high school gyms. The new schedule will be handed out to students tonight at the first practice. For any questions, please contact Mr. Rowan at the middle school. Thank you!
