Dear SMS Parents,
The Boys' Basketball game at Madison that was scheduled for 2/25 has been rescheduled to tomorrow (2/17). There will be two total games tomorrow night that will start with a combined (7/8) and full B game with a running clock, followed by a full and combined A game. Apologies for the miscommunication.
Schuyler Community Schools is cancelled for Wednesday, February 12th 2025 due to snow conditions. All other programs are also cancelled including after school programs, childcare, and activities.

We are watching the weather closely. Currently, Colfax County is predicted to receive 4 1/2 inches of snow by Wednesday morning. At 9:30 tonight I will be checking with them for a final update. We will make a decision by 10:00 pm tonight to assist families in making plans if needed. As always, keeping everyone safe is our first priority.

Congratulations to our Girls' Wrestling Team, as they came home last night as champions of the Pierce Wrestling Invite. They finished with 7 individual champions and 18 total medalists. GO WARRIORS!
Reminder: Tomorrow February 7th 2025, is the Youth Dance Camp. Check in starts at 4 pm at the Schuyler High School. The girls will dance at halftime of the boy's game. The boy's basketball game starts at 7pm.
Due to the wrestling tournament at the high school, there will be no girls youth practice tonight. Thank you!

Congratulations to our Girls' Wrestling team on their Runner-Up finish at the Schuyler Middle School Girls Wrestling Invitational today, along with three individual champions. Great job today Warriors!
6th grade students created a "Valley of the Kings" while studying Ancient Egypt. EL students are working together to learn science facts.
Jr. High boys have their first game tomorrow, Thursday 1/23!

Jr. High Boys Basketball had a great first week of practice! We are excited to keep putting in work this week. Here is our schedule for the week:
Monday: practice 3:30-5:30
Tuesday: practice 3:30-5:30
Wednesday: practice 3:30-5:30
Thursday: practice 3:30-5:30
Friday: no school- shoot around 11:00-1:00
Our first game is next Tuesday, January 21st at 4:30 vs Central City at home!
