Severe weather conditions can happen at a moments notice in Nebraska. In addition, emergencies may occur on occasion requiring Schuyler Community Schools to send communications to our parents, students, and/or staff on short notice. For these reasons, it’s vital the contact information for our parents, students, emergency contacts, and staff be up to date and accurate in Infinite Campus (our record keeping data base).
Our primary communications tool for school closings, late starts, emergencies, sport/activity cancellations, and other important events is our mass notification system. Area radio and TV stations will also carry school closing/late start announcements.
Our system allows us to send communications via robo call, text, email, SCS mobile app (push notifications), district and building web sites, Twitter, and Facebook with one click. While the new system is state of the art technology, it’s only as good as the data in our data base (Infinite Campus). Please help us by keeping your contact information up to date in Infinite Campus.
