If you're interested in becoming a Schuyler Teammate and becoming a mentor to one of our wonderful students grades 2-12, please contact me at dana.schultz@schuylercommunityschools.org or go to Teammates.org and apply. All of our students deserve another special person in their lives. We ask that our Mentors spend 30 minutes a week, talking, playing games, just being there for our students and building a relationship with them.
We have an informational meeting on August 19 from 6:00-7:00 at the Middle School lunchroom. Please RSVP at your earliest convenience to my email. Again, you may go on Teammates.org and apply or email me at dana.schultz@schuylercommunityschools.org and I'll answer any questions you might have.

Any SMS or SCHS student interested in running on the cross country teams this fall is invited to attend our pool party this Wednesday, 7/29. It is at the Schuyler pool from 9-11pm and is free to attend. Hope to see you there!
Members of the high school marching band have been working hard and playing hard this week! Learning lots of music and marching fundamentals, as well as decompressing with a meal! If you are in high school band it is not too late to join and get prepared for the upcoming season!

The Warrior Cross Country pool party for tomorrow night (Wednesday, 7/22) will be postponed due to the forecasted weather. A new date and time will be announced soon!

The Schuyler Warrior Marching Band is getting ready for the upcoming season! This last week members of the upcoming freshman class, leadership team, and percussion came in to get some extra work done before band camp! Band camp is July 20-24. Members have been sent information.

The cheerleaders have wrapped up cheer camp this year! They have learned many new new skills and brought home several awards! Over the course of four days, they learn crowd leading material, dances, and how to become better leaders for their school. This year, we won the following awards:
2nd place pyramid in the large squad division
Most improved in the large squad division
Spirit sticks all four days for showing positive attitudes, great showmanship, and team work
Superior ribbon in sideline and cheer
Superior ribbon in camp dance performance
4 All-American cheerleaders - Kimberly Encarnacion, Nuria Fuentes, Valeria Grado, and Shanty Palma
4 Pin-it-Forward recipients - Aileen Barahona, Kimberly Encarnacion, Yarixa Guzman, and Madalyn Mendez
